Working Standard legal terms
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-08-08. Last updated: 2026-08-08 . Version: 2026-08-08-v1.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Working Standard processes information through the public website, public pilot application, related pilot-fit communications, and Working Standard text-messaging programs. It is not a privacy policy for the authenticated Working Standard application.
Scope
This policy applies to website visitors, roofing companies that submit pilot applications, and individuals who consent to receive Working Standard text messages. It does not cover customer records, homeowner records, uploaded job files, authenticated product data, or data processed under a separate pilot or customer agreement except for the mobile-number and messaging-consent protections stated below.
Information collected
The pilot form collects company name, contact name, work email, role, business state, service area, operational challenge, desired workflow improvement, consent records, and optional company context such as website, phone number, current software, approximate team size, and preferred pilot timing. If you enroll in a Working Standard text-messaging program, Working Standard may also process the mobile number you provide, your messaging opt-in and opt-out records, and operational message-delivery information needed to provide and administer that program.
Sources
Information comes from the applicant or messaging recipient, browser requests, submitted form metadata, messaging interactions, and third-party services used to host, secure, route, store, deliver, or notify Working Standard about the application or requested communications.
Uses
Working Standard uses applicant information to evaluate pilot fit, contact applicants, schedule follow-up, prevent abuse, maintain website security, keep consent records, and improve public content and pilot operations. Mobile numbers and messaging-consent records may be used to provide requested transactional or operational text messages, administer consent and opt-out preferences, troubleshoot delivery, and maintain compliance records.
Technical data
Hosting and security systems may process IP address, user agent, request time, page path, referrer, security event details, and basic diagnostic logs. Free-text application answers are not intended to appear in routine notification subjects or broad operational logs.
Disclosures
Information may be disclosed to service providers that host the website, process the pilot application endpoint, store applications, send notifications or text messages, provide booking links, or support security and operations. Working Standard may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security. Mobile information and text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. This restriction does not prevent Working Standard from using service providers, including messaging carriers, aggregators, and platform providers, solely as necessary to deliver, support, secure, and administer Working Standard messaging services.
Sale or sharing
Working Standard does not sell pilot application information, mobile information, or text-messaging opt-in data or consent and does not intentionally share such information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Marketing outreach remains separate from required pilot-application contact consent and from consent to transactional or operational text messages.
Retention
Pilot application records use a default retention configuration of 365 days. Retention may be shorter if deletion is required, or longer where necessary for security, legal, accounting, dispute, consent, messaging-compliance, or agreed pilot-operating purposes.
Security
Working Standard uses a private S3/CloudFront website origin, HTTPS, least-privilege infrastructure patterns, sanitized notifications, and restricted pilot-form collection. No public website can guarantee perfect security.
Choices
Applicants may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of optional marketing consent by contacting Working Standard. Text-message recipients may also opt out of the applicable messaging program at any time by replying STOP. Some information may be retained where required to document consent, opt-out requests, security events, legal duties, or completed deletion handling.
State privacy rights
Depending on location, visitors may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive information about certain personal data. Working Standard will evaluate requests based on applicable law and the identity information reasonably needed to respond.
Marketing and text messaging
Marketing updates are optional, unchecked by default, and separate from application contact consent and transactional or operational messaging consent. Working Standard must document applicable consent, honor revocation, and review applicable email and SMS requirements before sending marketing messages. Consent to receive one category of text messages does not automatically enroll a recipient in a different messaging campaign or in promotional messaging.
For recurring Working Standard text-messaging programs, frequency depends on the workflow and events associated with the recipient. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Additional messaging-program terms, including HELP and STOP instructions, are available in the Website Terms.
Third-party services
Google Calendar Appointment Schedules, messaging providers, or other linked services may process information under their own policies. Working Standard does not control third-party websites once a visitor leaves this site.
Children
The website, pilot application, and Working Standard business messaging programs are intended for business representatives and are not directed to children. Do not submit information about minors through the pilot form.
International
Working Standard is intended for United States contractor businesses at this stage. Visitors outside the United States should not submit pilot applications unless specifically invited under separate written terms.
Changes
Working Standard may update this policy as the public website, pilot program, messaging programs, providers, or legal requirements change. Production changes require review before publication.
